A month of posts from the photos already on your phone.

An AI prompt that turns a list of your recent jobs and photos into a month of captions, reel ideas and stories for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

The best social content for a local business is not clever. It is proof: the job before and after, the crew on site, the happy customer, the problem you fixed. Most owners already have the photos. What they do not have is the time to turn them into posts.

This prompt does that part. Describe what is on your phone and get a month of posts back, with a caption, a format and a day for each.

How to use it

  • Scroll your camera roll and list 10 to 15 recent jobs or moments in one line each: "Kitchen in Kanata, before/after, customer loved the island."
  • Paste the list into the prompt with your basics filled in.
  • Batch it: take 20 minutes on a Sunday to schedule the whole month with Meta Business Suite or your scheduler.
social-month.txt
Plan a month of social media posts for my business from the material I already have.

Business: [name], [what you do] in [city]
Platforms: [e.g. Instagram and Facebook; LinkedIn for B2B]
Who we want to reach: [e.g. homeowners 35–60 in the west end]
Our voice: [e.g. proud of our work, friendly, a bit of humour]
Posts per week: [e.g. 3]
Call to action we use: [e.g. "Book a free estimate, link in bio"]

My recent jobs, photos and moments (one per line):
[list 10 to 15]

Make a table for the month with: day, platform, format (reel, carousel, single photo, story), which item from my list it uses, a hook (first line people see, under 10 words), the caption (under 80 words, with the call to action at the end), and 3 to 5 relevant local hashtags.

Mix the formats: about half before/after or result posts, a quarter tips that answer a customer question, and the rest behind the scenes or the team. For every reel, add a 3-shot plan I can film on my phone in under a minute.

Rules: only use details from my list, never invent jobs or reviews. Plain, human language, no corporate buzzwords. Canadian English.

What works for local businesses

  • Before and after beats everything. Put the "after" first in the reel so people stop scrolling.
  • Faces build trust. The owner or crew on camera for 10 seconds, saying one useful thing, outperforms polished graphics.
  • Answer one question per post. "How long does a roof last?" is content. So is "What we check on every furnace."
  • End with one clear next step, not three.

Only post customers' homes, faces or reviews with their permission. A quick "Mind if we share photos of the result?" at the end of a job is usually all it takes.
